Another game of the Blue Eagles & the Growling Tigers had started. August 3, 2008 held at the Araneta Sports Complex, the game started at around 4pm and ended 6pm at Studio 23. Hot & pressured game that were felt by the crowding audiences. So in short, I'm a hard core fanatic of the Ateneo Blue Eagles because I'm watching their game since the starting season of the UAAP.
First five, known as the "FRONT-RUNNERS" of the Ateneo Blue Eagles game had felt the heat on. The Captain- Chris Tiu, Rabeh Al-Hussaini & Jai Reyes were still the unbeatables. If you can only see the game on Studio 23, gosh! the game is really on. The Blue Eagles, fresh from their defeat against the FEU Tamarraws made a vow that they will win this game against the Growling Tigers.
Chris Tiu, had shown his amazing performance in the game. A Growling Tiger (forgot the name) made a foul against Tiu but the #17 bounce back. After that he made a high performance shot by making a two point shot using his left hand while four Growling Tigers were blocking him from shooting. But its not the only great performance that he showed in the 2nd quarter, in the succeeding quarters he made a wow to his enemies(IN THE GAME HUH!) & the crowd also that were cheering for him. One of the fantastic highlights were in he attempted to shoot but there were 3 UST Tigers again blocking his way in shooting the ring, in an instant he passed it to his teammate, Jai Reyes making him shoot the 3 point mark and what you know! that throw was a big shot. That part was one of the amazing highlights and the greatest assist of the game. The second quarter leadings were the Ateneo de Manila Blue Eagles.
When the score reached, 52-50 (leading UST) I thought that the UST are going to win this game but it was not, real not! Al-Hussaini (19) made his gorilla shot in the ring making them a tie. Question, on the first place, how did the UST Growling Tigers made their way in a 52 score? Mizra (14), one of the best 3 point shooters of the UST Tigers tried his might on shooting the hoops using the 3 point mark. I was amazed that he did try to elevate their status more by making them leaders in the mid-3rd quarter.
One of the consistent shooters of the game were Reyes, Al-Hussaini, Tiu, Buenafe of the Blue Eagles and Mizra of the Growling Tigers made a name in the 3 point mark of the 3rd quarter game. Can't explain more about this game because I'm having a hangover about the game especially Chris Tiu who made a tremendous bounce back.
The score is 64-57 making Ateneo de Manila Blue Eagles leading in the UAAP games for this season.
A liitle info, to those who like Chris Tiu, well I kinda admit that he is hot, sexy, smart, maputi & chinito but to those who admire, like or LOVE him already, he is not anymore available. He has a girlfriend already by the name of Gladys. Sorry girls!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAR! =)
